Explore can provide a transition service for students in their final year of school, aged between 16 – 21, and who have been assessed as either high or very high needs under Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS) funding.

Fully funded service*
Our transition service is fully funded by the Ministry of Social Development for people who are eligible. This means that you don’t have to pay to use our services, within the limits of your funding.
Privately paid service
Alternatively, if you aren’t eligible for fully funded support, you can pay for our service using your own money. Talk with our team to discuss pricing and support options.
Contact our team to see if we have any spots available. If we do have a place that would suit you, you can usually start straight away. We advise people to be thinking and planning for life after schooling as early as possible to support a smooth transition.
How long does the service last?
You can receive support through the transition to adulthood service for up to one year during your final year of school to help you get ready for adult life and take part in your community.
