Credentialing workshops

The Level 1 and Level 2 workshops form part of the competency requirements for the Wheeled Mobility and Postural Management credentials for EMS assessors.

We are funded by the Disability Support Services (DSS) to provide 35 training days per year.

There are cost benefits to hosting workshops. If you are a Disability Support Services funded service, consider hosting a Level 1 or Level 2 workshop. Complete a Request to Host a Workshop form so we can respond accordingly.

In 2025 we are offering more workshops to Non-Disability Support Services (DSS) assessors and suppliers. Custom workshops may also be requested.

Level 1 Workshops:

LEVEL 1  NON COMPLEX WORKSHOPS – 2 DAYS
LEVEL 1  24HR POSTURAL MANAGEMENT (LYING) WORKSHOPS – 2 DAYS
  • Wellington: 23- 24 October 2025  (Postponed)
    New date: 12–13 February 2026 ( Full) 
    • This workshop is open to therapists who predominantly work with MSD DSS-funded clients and MOE only—as a subsidised workshop.
    • First priority to Capital and Coast Te Whatu Ora therapists, second priority to other Te Whatu Ora therapists.
    • MOE and other DSS therapists will be waitlisted and contacted if there is availability.

Level 2 Workshops:

These workshops may be completed as individual modules or as a 5 day Level 2 programme.
